Raid: Shadow Legends is a mighty, meaty strategy RPG with lots to discover and master on your journey to the late game. With different modes, plenty of champions, and more to master, you will need helpful information so you can get started with absolute confidence.
We’ve assembled some essential tips and tricks to help you begin your journey to being a legend in Attack Strategies. Let’s go!
Best Starter in Raid: Shadow Legends.
Whenever you start the game, you’ll be given your first choice, which champions to choose. With four to pick from and all at the Rare level, it can be quite a difficult decision. We recommend choosing either Kael or Athel as your starter in Raid: Shadow Legends. Each one can get you to the late game.
The Affinity System
Whenever you look at champions in the game, you’ll notice they each have an affinity. Their affinities give you a rough guide with their strengths and weaknesses vs. other affinities, similar to rock, paper, scissors. Here’s what they mean:
- Magic – Strong against Spirit, weak against Force
- Spirit – Strong against Force, weak against Magic
- Force – Strong against Magic, weak against Spirit
As well as these three affinities, you’ll also see Void. Void differs in it is equally strong in every situation, meaning there are no special counters for a Void champion. Still, neither is a Void champion particularly strong against any other affinity.
Do the Dailies
This can’t be understated. It doesn’t take long to do the dailies, and the rewards are worth your time. Even though you do not have much time and energy to devote to the game each day, diving in to do your dailies is essential. Your future self will thank you for gathering resources.
Hold on to Void, Epic, and Legendary Champions
While you will eventually know which champions you wish to keep your hands on (and you can have a look at our tier list to ensure you know who’s who), in the beginning, if you learn a Void, Epic, or Legendary champion, we recommend keeping your hands on them. It could be not easy to have your hands-on, so after you have them, keep them.
Attempt the Progress Missions if you want Pointers
The progress missions have already been created specifically to introduce the game’s systems, meaning they can be considered a great guide to Raid: Shadow Legends. Each you have been built to expand upon systems you learned in the tutorial, so if you need a few extra pointers, we recommend checking them out.
Check out the Campaign
While it’s true that dungeons can give better rewards than your campaign, the rewards from the campaign will discover you in good stead to progress further in the dungeons than if you hadn’t campaigned first. Also, you can immerse yourself in the story, which will be a vital part of the game’s experience.
Sometimes you will need to Grind.
Grinding is part of the game and can offer you exceptional rewards or help level up champions, lagging. Don’t be afraid to dive in for a spot of grinding here and there, even though it’s only to test a new champion out and see what they’re capable of.
